Dinosaur [UK Import]DVDWie nie zuvor werden Dinosaurier in diesem teuren, am Computer erstellten Film aus der Disneyfabrik zum Leben erweckt. Nach einem atemberaubenden Anfang (ein Dinosaurierei wird entführt), verändert der Film seinen Stil. Realistischen Dinosauriern werden menschliche Züge und Stimmen gegeben. Das entführte Ei wächst sich zu einem Iguanodon namens Aladar aus, der von Lemuren auf einer üppig bewachsenen Insel aufgezogen wird, auf der sich keine anderen Dinosaurier befinden. Als in einer aufregenden Sequenz ihre Heimat durch einen Meteorit zerstört wird, schließen sich die Familie der Lemuren und Aladar einer Gruppe von Dinosauriern an, die die Einöden des Festlands auf der Suche nach üppigen Weidegründen und Schlupfwinkeln durchstreifen. Disneys normale Mischung verschiedener Sprachgebräuche ist ebenso präsent wie das Gesetz der Todesstrafe: jeder, der sich gegen unseren Helden stellt (oder einfach nicht seiner Meinung ist), stirbt. Erstaunlicherweise sind die Bösen, ein Carnotaurenpärchen, die der Gruppe folgen, nicht nur namenlos, sondern können auch nicht sprechen. Dieser realistischere Ansatz hätte in dem Disney Film noch größere Begeisterung hervorrufen können, wie die B B C Produktion Dinosaurier, die großartig aussah und nur einen geringen Teil des Budgets zur Verfügung hatte. Die Komplexität und die visuelle Bandbreite der Disney-Produktion sind trotzdem beeindruckend und die Bilder und die subjektive Kamera sind atemberaubend. < I>-Doug Thomas |
