Shania Twain - Up! Live In ChicagoDVD< I> Up! Live In Chicago ist eine großartige ca. 100-minütige One-Woman-Show. Und Shania Twain, Kanadas schönster Export, ist der strahlende Fixstern dieses malerischen Open-Air-Abends in Chicago. Die große Nummern-Revue ( Shania spielt 22 Songs!) lässt keinen Hit aus. Alle Singles aus < I> Up! und < I> Come On Over werden gespielt. Vom überwältigenden " You're Still The One" bis zum poppigen " Ka-Ching!". Selbstverständlich darf auch ihr Mega-Welthit " That Don't Impress Me Much" nicht fehlen. Als besonderes Song-Highlight muss hier noch die Akustik-Session " No One Needs To Know" erwähnt werden. < P> Einzig: Die ganze Show wirkt ein bisschen zu glatt und zu sauber. Es bleibt an der Oberfläche, es bleibt Illusion. Aber eine perfekte. Perfekt ist auch der Sound. Das ist einerseits schön anzuhören, andererseits aber unspontan. Es rockt nicht wirklich. Auch den inszenierten Kitschfaktor der Show dürfen wir nicht ausklammern: Das klassische Orchester, den Live-Amateur-Heiratsantrag à la Herzblatt, die ausgesuchten, herzigen kleinen Mädchen, die ein paar Zeilen singen dürfen. Und doch: Alles verziehen, weil die schöne Shania Twain so tolle Songs schreibt, dass das Brimborium drumherum gar nicht so wichtig ist. < P> Ärgerlich ist lediglich, dass die Titelnummerierung der D V D nicht mit der auf dem Cover übereinstimmt. Und zum Schluss noch etwas Statistik für Fans: Shania wechselt auf der Bühne lediglich dreimal ihr Outfit. < I>-Dirk Ruschepaul |
