Anthony B - Live [DVD] [2008] [UK Import]DVD
The Real Revolutionary, the Dancehall King, the Spiritual Warrior. . . Anthony B presents a stunning performance at the 1st Annual Reggae Rising Music Festival in Humboldt County, California. The Jamaican musician released his U K debut album, '' Real Revolutionary, '' in 1996 and has subsequently released over twenty albums. Born as '' Keith Blair'' to a deeply religious family in 1976, he was filled with a strong sense of spirituality and was influenced by reggae legends Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. As a teenager, he adopted Rastafarian beliefs, much to the disappointment of his family and debuted as a D J for the local sound system at his high school, Shaggy Hi-Power. In the reggae community at the time, it was popular for lyrical content to be about degrading women, however Anthony B instead chose to write politically-angled songs. In 2004 he released '' Untouchable'' which featured collaborations with artists including Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg & Bone Crusher. He continues to tour extensively in Europe and North America and is known for his fiery, high-energy performances. This live performance is masterfully woven together with exclusive interview footage. This night time performance is set on the legendary California Redwood Forest, and was captured using 8 H D cameras, and 48 tracks of audio - which have been remastered into stunning Dolby 5. 1 Surround Sound. If you are an Anthony B fan, or a fan of Dance Hall in general then this stunning performance is most certainly for you.
