Bevorzugte Helmtypen waren hier der Nasalhelm, aber vorallem die spätmittelalterliche Beckenhaube und ihre Variante die Hundsgugel. Diese Kettenbrünne von Ulfberth hat einen authentischen, gezackt-geflochtenen Rand und einen angenähten Streifen aus dickem Rindsleder.
