Er war zusammen mit seinem Bruder Fili einer jener Zwerge, die mit Bilbo Beutlin und Thorin Eichenschild zum Berg Erebor zogen. Dort kämpfte Kili mit den anderen Zwergen in der Schlacht der Fünf Heere. Kili und Fili waren die jüngsten Zwerge der Gefährten.
