Orpheus in der UnterweltDVDOrpheus ist Musikprofessor zu Theben und hocherfreut, als Pluto ihm die untreue Ehefrau Eurydike stiehlt. Schließlich glaubt er sich endlich beim Fremd-Liebesspiel ungestört. Doch da taucht Jaques Offenbach höchstpersönlich auf und setzt dem nunmehr wirklich bestürzten Orpheus die Waffe der Erpressung an die leidende Brust: Entweder soll er die Götter um die Herausgabe Eurydikes bitten oder er muss auf seine zahlreichen Geliebten verzichten! Orpheus gibt schließlich nach und macht sich auf dem Götter-Olymp vorstellig. Jedoch auch die Götter wollen bei diesem ' Theater' nicht recht mitspielen. . . |

Although The Royal Ballet has performed Romeo and Juliet over 400 times, each performance and pairing is subtly different and Lauren Cuthbertson and Federico Bonelli are utterly captivating in the title roles.
